Team Members
Our campaign team has largely been a private affair to this point. We believe there is a lot to be said about a team that can engage in their work in privacy. With the dawning of a new year, we would like to introduce you to a few of our team members who have notified me they would be happy to be public with our mission.
I'm going to start with our most important team member.
Rachel Farley Iwanyszyn
Not only is Rachel Farley Iwanyszyn our treasurer but she is also my life-partner. I am very blessed to be married to her!
Rachel was the first nearly a year ago who encouraged me to put myself in the running to serve you in this office. She volunteered for the role of treasurer and the choice was obvious. Rachel has exceptional experience in both governmental and private sector accounting.
Upon earning her bachelor's in accounting at Tennessee Tech, Rachel quickly was given the opportunity to work in the Jackson County Mayor's Office with Mayor Bobby Kinnaird as the County Bookkeeper. Upon the election of Randy Heady as Mayor, he retained Rachel in her role. She earned her designation as Certified County Financial Officer (CCFO) in 2019 with the first-ever class offered, demonstrating her proficiency in public accounting. Through her five years working in the Jackson County Courthouse, she had built numerous working relationships with officials in Jackson, Putnam and other counties. In 2021, Rachel was offered an opportunity to join a well-known local corporation as an accountant. She has an excellent reputation there for her attention to detail and quality of work. She still maintains an excellent reputation at the Jackson County Courthouse for her time spent there.
Rachel is known for her attention to detail, for efficiency and for being rational and practical. She is focused on stewardship. As I have a tendency to be visionary and a bit of a dreamer, she provides an excellent balance in my life and helps me to remain rational as well. She is also known for her compassion with children. She routinely serves at our home congregation of the Zion Church of Christ as a teacher of toddlers and assists with many youth events.
Rachel and Jordan provide Putnam County with an exceptional team to serve the people well. Our campaign is the only one in this race to serve as your next Trustee that provides you with a husband and wife with the combined experience in business and government finances that is ready from Day One to serve. Jordan worked on budgets every year for the two terms he served as County Commissioner. He served on the Putnam County Budget Committee numerous terms. He also has handled many millions of dollars personally in transactions over his years as a banker and in jobs prior as well. Combining that experience with Rachel's well-rounded background allows Putnam County to have their only option in this race for this kind of unique, shared experience. While Jordan would be the one to serve in the office, it isn't common for many officials or even candidates to have such deep fiscal experience to pull from at home. This team is just one of numerous reasons Jordan is the right choice with the right experience to serve you!
